OUR PROJECTS

CHARTER NEW SCOUT UNITS
Involves gathering committed adult volunteers. Advertising for Membership and hosting one or more recruiting events at The Scout Hall

BOTTLE BIN
The bottle bin generates funding for HSAA by collecting recyclable bottles and cans from the community. Each deposit contributes to a fund that supports our initiatives and programs. This eco-friendly initiative not only promotes sustainability but also helps raise essential funds for the organization, making a positive impact on both the environment and the community.

PAINTING
The Harpswell Scout Hall has been around for over one hundred years and has served different purposes prior to its current use. Like all buildings that suffer the effects of the weather, time to repaint the Scout Hall is nearing and it will not be a minor project.

NEW ROOF - COMPLETED 2023
We recently completed a much-needed roof replacement on the hall that will serve to protect the building for many decades to come.

HANDICAP ACCESS MAINTENANCE
Years ago, Troop 642 of Harpswell upgraded the hall with an access ramp and accessible bathroom upgrades. This outdoor ramp has fallen victim to years of seacoast weather and is now in need of decking replacement and minor railing upgrades.

FLOOR REFINISHING - 2024
An Eagle Scout from Troop 648 Brunswick organized a team of volunteers and raised funding to completely re-finish the floor of the main hall.
